Ideal replacement for E87438

I originally bought a ZE-268S6 and thought I could hook it up to a KTE E87438, but it turned out to be quite different electrically. I have electrically tested the E87438 with a meter and found that the circuit matches the ZE-268S2 ie L-1-2-3, L-2-3, L-1-3, L-1-2 while the ZE-268S6 is off, L-1, L-2-3, L-3, which is incompatible. I replaced a broken KTE E87438 cable with one from a ZE-268S2 and it worked great. at all speeds!
