Edit 1 month later: Complete garbage. I got error code e 5. Now it's useless. Rating changed from 5 stars to 1. Reviews of other Farberware inverter microwave ovens with status error codes are not uncommon. I've had my microwave for a little over a month and threw the box away. I'm stuck with this. He's going to the landfill. The microwave heats up better than the 900w oven it replaced. The additional 200W and/or the inverter technology make the difference. The controls seem well thought out. I love how smart cooking uses real words and not codes to tell me what the setting is for. I accidentally ordered a black stove instead of black and stainless. It was a lucky mistake. Thanks to the completely dark front elements, it blends in better with the corner in which it is placed. You notice that he sits there less.
