I usually hate the smell of really strong smelling food but it's needed for rough bins and it helps. There's a lot of stuff in there that can be used, so a crate will probably last you a year unless you have a lot of bins with really big problems. It's easy to use, just open the lid and quickly pour in some powder as you don't want to waste time on the stench. You have to use it multiple times. The only bad thing is the powder leaks out of the box, but it's wrapped in plastic so if you're careful it doesn't get too messy.
