Review on 📀 Toshiba SD-4990 DVD Player with Progressive Scan and Upconverting Features by Brian Douglas

I have an old Toshiba model and I liked it so much I thought it would be a good buy. To a large extent, this is one of the most expensive models. I like the user interface and the remote control is good, although I wish the playtime worked on the unit's LCD, but it only plays the track number, which I don't care. What I dislike most about it is that it jumps, sometimes for LONG times, even on brand new DVDs! I don't know if this only happens when the DVD signal is upconverted, but so far it has skipped on the 6 DVDs I've played. DVD players should NOT do this. I'm tempted to return it for a different brand now. By the way, I've been working in the Hollywood DVD industry for 4 years so I know how the quality should be and it's below par!
