Review on Dimmable Ceiling Downlight for Recessed Lighting by Drexel Wortham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works for me for recessed lights

Media could not be loaded. You can compensate for them and create color patterns if you get creative with blocking the remote signal. Watch the attached video. I want you to resync them all and then cycle the power at the switch. Very easy to install. I used 100 foot 18/2 stranded direct burial/indoor/outdoor cable. It's good enough for my needs. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive models like Alexa, WIFI/smartphone control, etc. Cons: Thin wire. There is no such thing as an easy shutdown. Small junction boxes. I doubt they're actually CE or EU equivalent, despite what they say, but it's such a low voltage that it probably doesn't matter. With a protrusion at the top, it won't fit under a ceiling joist like competition models. A remote press will not work to change all the lights. I had to walk around the room and press 4 times to get all the lights the same color. There's no real brightness adjustment, except for white, which is the lightest of all colors. Red is the second brightest. As far as I know, the colors cannot be dimmed and are not dimmer compatible. Advantages: Low price. It's probably possible to program the IR into my universal TV remote. Excellent value for money and quality. I like the bright white color. has a color memory, when you turn off the light on the switch, it remembers the last setting it was on.

Pros
  • Dimensions - LED recessed lights have a recessed depth of 1.9 inches. Outer diameter Ø 4.7 inches. Ceiling cut-out Ø 3.14-4.3 inches. It is easy and safe to install. Just point the light into the hole and plug in the power.
Cons
  • Price High
