Review on MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD 2560X1440 Monitor ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ with Adjustable Stand, 165Hz, High Dynamic Range by Tracy Pfettscher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic quality 1440p 165Hz

I've been waiting for this monitor to be back in stock and finally got my hands on it. I used an ASUS Dissigno monitor for both gaming and work, but wanted a new monitor with a high refresh rate just for gaming. I did a lot of research and watched a few YouTube videos. It all came down to this Optix MAG274QRF-QD, LG 27GN850-B or Dell S2721DGF. I chose this monitor for its higher contrast ratios and QD technology. This monitor exceeded my expectations. My device arrived with no dead pixels or minor backlight glare. As an IPS monitor, I knew they could always be there, but when I put it next to an ASUS monitor I don't notice it at all (unlike ASUS). Pros: G-Sync Easy to use. OSD165HzQD IPS DisplayRGB backlight (Like my desktop, my monitor isn't facing the wall so I see the light when I come back to my office. It always makes me smile [I'm a fan of RGB]) Cons: None The only downside I have for the monitor is that I had to change the color/contrast settings right away. The colors were extremely saturated. For other monitors, I had the best calibration out of the box, but I always additionally calibrated the colors, so it didn't bother me. The QD display adds more saturation compared to other IPS monitors I've used. It seems to come down to personal preference, but I tend to prefer "bright" colors. Overall this is a 5/5 monitor for me. It has all the bells and whistles (low latency, high refresh rate, 1440p, IPS panel, QD technology and G-Sync) for a great price. (Bought for $450).
