Review on πŸ’¨ AC Infinity AIRCOM S7: Top-Exhaust 12'' Quiet Cooling Fan System for Receivers, Amps, DVRs, AV Cabinet Components by Alex Foley

Pull out the heat!

My new Denon receiver is getting very hot. Not "ironed clothes" hot but much hotter than I expected and as it lives in a tv cabinet with glass doors which I prefer to keep closed I was concerned about the heat. Heat is detrimental to complex electronics and significantly shortens their lifespan. I found this range of AC Infinity fans here on Revain, read many reviews and decided to give the S7 model a try. At only 1.5 inches high and 12 inches wide, it leaves plenty of room for airflow in my TV enclosure. I really like the "Auto-On" function, which only turns on when the temperature in the receiver exceeds 88 degrees. You can also adjust the fan speed. I used the device for four days and noticed that after 20 minutes the fan kicked on and started doing its job, drawing in cooler air through the bottom vents and expelling it out the top of the S7 device. The exhaust air is almost like from the furnace ducts of your house, very warm. This device is very quiet and will not interfere with what you are seeing or hearing through your system. Very impressed with the quality of this unit and the electronics inside. The two 4.5 inch (120 mm) fans are very quiet, thermally triggered in auto mode and with variable fan speed. My only concern is will this 12 inch wide 2 fan box do what I want or do I need a slightly larger 3 fan box? Perhaps one of you engineers will give you this answer. so good and i am happy with this device.
