Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Energy Star Certified Water Heater Blanket Insulation, Non-Fiberglass, Up to 80 Gallons Capacity by James Mangum

My heater now looks like an upside down ice cream cone :) lol

I have a 50 gallon water heater and it's short and fat rather than tall and skinny. My basement is mostly finished, so it's not that cold in there. I wrapped my heater in it and there was still a lot of stuff in there so I just kept wrapping it. I didn't glue it all the way around, I just glued it to the front so I can take it off if I need it for some reason. My water heater has a plate and then a long piece of copper hanging a few inches from the plate and then a drain underneath. In order not to completely cover it all up, I made the jacket detachable. After putting the heater on, it was enough for me to wind the pipes up. My heater now looks like an upside down ice cream cone. I'll find out if it helps when I get my electric bill next month. There are two wide parts in the package - a round one and a small narrow one. I had to cut another slot in the rounds because I think my edge is weird IDK. But I have an expansion chamber and I had to cut the seat for it. The two wide pieces fit the entire heater and I glued them on the front. I then put the round one on top (not glued) and then wrapped a small, narrow tube around the tubes, going around it twice. It seems to keep you warm. :)
