Review on 🎡 Acoustic Audio Goldwood HD728: In-Wall/Ceiling Home Theater 7.2 Surround Sound Speakers (9 Speakers, 7.2 Channels, 8 Inch, White) by Shane Minter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This speaker system is loud and satisfying.

This is a patented product, which means that each subwoofer requires a separate amplifier. Preamp outputs for connection to an external amplifier. We placed 2 front speakers together with LCR and a subwoofer towards the listening area. Behind our listening area we installed 2 rear speakers, 1 subwoofer and a round one in the ceiling for Dolby Atmos. We set up another round for Dolby Atmos over another seating area. Since we didn't connect any subwoofers to the AV, we were able to use the YAPO AV Receiver to generate the tones and verify that the ceiling speakers and other speakers are working properly. I would think twice about buying this product. It looks complete and the seller states that 2 amps (products he recommends and sells) are the only ones that will work and make this system work. The problems with a proprietary speaker package like this stem from the use of passive subwoofers. Most AV receivers you will encounter have pre-outs for powered subwoofers only. I bought a Rockville RPA9 amplifier which I believe should provide enough independent power for both subwoofers. After reading previous product reviews and questions about what other buyers are concerned about subwoofer amplifiers and after purchasing this product I have not been able to verify, whether other users can use amplifiers other than those recommended by this seller. My return period for both products has expired as I have been waiting while our living room is being remodeled before speakers are installed and cables run to our AV rack. I was unable to get an answer or support for this item because I left questions and feedback from other buyers. It turns out that the purchase with good intentions caused regrets among buyers. It is very embarrassing to show friends and family what you have bought and only be able to enjoy sounds from all speakers and no subwoofers as they remain on the wall as 'Display Only'. I'm disappointed that the money, time and research that went into pre-purchase wasn't what what you expected. My recommendation is that you DO NOT BUY 5.2 or 7.2 home theater speaker configurations from this seller, but build your own. If you are unfamiliar with passive and active speakers and subwoofers, this purchase is not for you. No matter what speaker system you buy from a dealer, they want you to buy your own amplifiers for each subwoofer. You can buy 2 front speakers, LCR, 2 matching rear speakers, 2 additional wall or ceiling speakers for surround sound and most importantly 2 ACTIVE subwoofers to connect to the AV SUB PRE OUTS. In short, the technology support you expect is very poor. Feedback from other buyers is over 3 years old and not quite what you need today. I can't give an honest review as I feel this was not a fair purchase. The product can meet your needs if you are familiar with passive and active subwoofers. I didn't, so this purchase wasn't for me. I spent extra money to buy an external amplifier that wasn't recommended by the seller, so I probably spent money on that purchase as well. I asked the seller why the WS105 are the only amps that will work with this speaker set and not others like the Rockville RPA9. Finally, you're basically using PreOuts from your AV receiver with a "Y" using RCA cables from your receiver and amplifier, then your subwoofer connects to the outputs of the amplifier. Let me know, if others can do this work. Please do more research before purchasing. Update - I just hooked up 5 man speakers to a Yamaha TSR-7850 and pre outs sub 1 and sub 2 to a Rockville RPA 9 amp input. Subwoofers went out ROCKVILLE, stereo, low pass, the system switched on and were completely amazed by the performance. They were so loud it seemed like I was playing on stage. I would recommend buying them. like I'm playing on stage. I would recommend buying them. like I'm playing on stage. I would recommend buying them.
