We wanted to be able to reuse the proximity cards already issued to members and not go through the expense and hassle of reissuing them. Our Nstar system is set up with HID readers. It came with no clear directions, the software is a nightmare to download, and after 3 full days of trying to install it, it still isn't working. The controller is a good deign. They have MOV lightning protection on all I/O. The connectors are individually detachable for each field swap. Its easy to set up and the software handles all the usual requirements and more, but not overly complicated. it works with 125Khz and 13.56Khz readers. it has on board eeprom or storage to validate badges locally. I have it installed, added users, it won't unlock door with badge but it will with door exit button. I can't figure this out. Plus I can factory reset. Help please

GOOD device and GREAT price. If you don't like it, you are probably the problem. Buy something easier and more expensive. Technology is sometimes complex, but for those who want functionality at a very good price, this can't be beat.

I received the UHPPOTE Professional Wiegand 26 Bit TCP IP Network Access Control Board in the morning and had it working in a couple of hours. I downloaded the software and installed it on Windows10 without any problems whatsoever. I plugged it into my router and the software found the controller. Used this for a small office customer, along with a 4 door controller monitoring a separate entrance. Easy to set up, included software is really nice for the cost. Make sure you hook it to a switch or router before trying to access it, though. A direct connection to the PC was buggy, if it would even connect at all.

This product is terrible. I purchased the 2 door board and a keypad, both UHPPOTE and both products have terrible instructions. The wiring references and schematics do not match the product. I actually purchased two keypads and both are not working. You can access the board from the software but you can't program the keypad. This is an update based on using this for some time. I've changed my rating to three stars instead of four, because the software is just absolutely horrendous with zero support. Currently, we're unable to get it to create any open/close reports at all. No matter what is selected, no activity shows in the report. You can see it in the log, but can't export it. Very impressive for the price! If you have a basic knowledge of access control, relays, contact closures and card readers, then you should have no trouble setting this up. I had it working in under 30 minutes. It was easy to find and configure on the network, and the software is pretty user friendly. I was a little skeptical of this unit because of the price but I was surprised at the quality and features it has. I used this for 2 gates and it works great. Using the software cam take some trial and error but the do supply an software manual as well.
