Review on UHPPOTE Fire Control Expansion Panel Board For Access Controller With Enhanced Alarm Output by David Robinson

It IS Professional.

I am very skeptical when I see the word "professional" in the product name. However in this case it is very appropriate. The controller would be very relevant for a medium size company. The software is very impressive can handle many controllers simultaneously, with features such as zones, floors. departments etc. It even has time attendance feature in case you need it. This version of controller can handle two sensors and if you set it one on the entry side one on exit the software tacks the length of time users spend in the building and tells you whether someone is in the building at any moment of time. Please be aware that you have to install a secondary exit feature such as a push bar or an exit button to comply with the fire department requirements. The software can be set up to log the exits by the push button but naturally in this case you loose the ability to track users' exits. The English version does use some funny language though. but I find it pretty complete and well done. One thing to note: You need card readers sensors. I used this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AUB2RQ4?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_15The instructions say connect white or yellow wire to a specific pin on the board. In my case when I connected white the controller pretended working, beeped on card swipes but refused to recognize them. When i switched to use the yellow wire everything started working normally. The bottom line: I am impressed with the controller and hope the reliability wold stand to the "professional" name.Update:4 years later the controller is still going strong despite a pretty heavy everyday use in a commercial setup in far from ideal environment. .
