Review on ๐Ÿช ChefGiant Stainless Steel Flour Sifter: 5 Cup Rotary Hand Crank, 16 Fine Mesh Screen for Corrosion Resistant Baking by Karla Garcia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This works better than I expected.

As mentioned some brands of crank strainers have "free strainers" like the one I returned to a local dealer. I was determined to find a screen like the one I used as a kid, where the screen was in contact with most of the rotating "wire" and not just the ground. The Chef Giant 5 cup I received does a great job of sifting. With just a few twists of the handle, it pours a whole blizzard into the bowl! The sieve doesn't fit exactly, but that doesn't matter because this sifter works "perfectly". I order this with one day service and it arrived as planned. I opened the package and found what turned out to be a very small strainer. I ordered the wrong size? I wanted a cup for 5. I took my flour and started pouring it in with a measuring cup and sure enough, as small as this strainer looks, it only holds five cups. I now appreciate the smaller size due to the limited space in my kitchen and the bottom of the colander is narrower meaning there is more flour in the bowl and less on the counter. So I am very happy with this Chef Giant 5 cup strainer, I would recommend it to others.

Pros
  • TWIST HANDLE DESIGN: Unlocking handles are difficult to use and require strength, which means they can tire you quickly. This rotating flour sifter arm works smoothly and effortlessly and can withstand repeated use without tiring your hand.
Cons
  • too blunt
