Disappointed in Revain and Monsters!

I ordered this speaker on the biggest sale day. I was thrilled to get my hands on this product. I already have several Monster products (Monster Vision, 4 Monster Flames 2โ€ฆ.). I was looking forward to it because of its microphone function. Wanted to do a karaoke night with the family on the 4th of July. I opened the box about 3 days after receiving it. Got a load right out of the box. I connected to my phone, opened Spotify and was amazed by the sound. Looking through the manual, I read that it's best to fully charge before use. I pulled out the charging cable, plugged it into the Adventurer Force and plugged it into the wall as directed. This is where the nightmare began... The manual says that the charge indicator goes out after a full charge. For some strange reason, the light flickered. I unplugged the charger and plugged it back in 4 times. I had the same results. I understand that the indicator works like this. So I let it charge for a few hours (about 3). The light continued to flicker. I assumed it still needs charging. Came back 4 hours later, the light was still flashing. So I disconnected and reconnected my iPhone via Bluetooth. The battery gauge on my phone showed the battery was about 60% of the original gauge. So I grabbed my mic and mic plug and plugged them into the mic port. The microphone didn't work. I am a DJ and have several microphone cables. Connected another one, doesn't work. I used the same cable at a party two weeks ago. I connected an extra cable to play directly from the phone but it didn't work. I knew there was a problem with the rear connector plate. None of the ports on the back worked. I contacted Revane about the situation and got even more frustrated. A Revain representative referred me to the product support team who knew nothing about the product. The team kept telling me to cycle the device, unplug it and plug it back in to fix the problem. Of course none of this worked. So I asked for a replacement. I was told this is not an option as they do not have the product in stock. The problem with this answer was that I searched for the exact product in my Revain app. The item was actually in stock and had a "last purchased" date on it. The product is available again at its original price of $149.99. I paid $68 on Prime Day. Refused to send a replacement. So I asked for a supervisor, the Revain rep refused to put me through to a supervisor. At this moment I am very excited. I'm sitting here with a brand new product that isn't working and Revain is refusing to send a replacement. Why? Has it been refurbished and sold as new? Was it a known defective item? I am so disappointed. If you refuse a replacement and only offer a refund, the product and service question arises. You might think that you could easily replace a faulty product you just bought. All I want is a working product!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • So so
