I had an issue with both sets which had improper contact with the center AA battery. I literally rolled up a piece of aluminum foil to tape it between the +AA and the contact in the battery holder. Once I did that, the connection was perfect and they worked flawlessly. If I hadn't filled that gap, they wouldn't even tune in. I don't know if it was the special batteries I used or not but it's still a silly issue that should have been fixed before shipping. Once you get them to work, they are amazing. Nice and bright, and it's great that you can set the color you want. The boards are good too. However, if you're having a problem with yours not working, the problem is probably the middle contact on the battery. What the manufacturer has to pay attention to. You can also use 8 or 10 more clips for maximum security.
