The MB Quartz name implies a great sounding speaker and they won't disappoint. Well, maybe a little. This 3.5 inch speaker works well with factory head units and can also replace factory 3.5 inch speakers. If you want better bass response, get it BUT don't expect much success, especially from a speaker this small. However, it is there and you will feel the difference. The mids shine here. You sound great. no Complaints. This is about a deep opinion, and it's about the highs. They sound very good overall, BUT the high frequencies are a bit harsh, even with the DSP setting on the amp and the tone control setting on the main unit. Some people like a soft sound, but I prefer the music to sound normal, just a bit harsh. If you play a lot of rock/pop/country then this speaker is for you BUT if you play rap/electronic/new jazz they might sound a little quieter in the high frequencies. So is this a great little speaker or not? Well in my opinion YES it wasn't what I expected from a 3.5 inch two way speaker system. But hey, those are my ears and my opinion, but you may hear and think otherwise.
