Bought to have a larger format for the kitchen and other general purposes (small packages, etc.). Used once when it first arrived in July and no longer needed to this day. I wanted to weigh two magazines for shipping and was a little taken aback to find that they weighed over 21 ounces according to these scales. I figured it was too heavy, so I googled the weight of an average magazine (there's a recipe for success. :/) and got the answer: 3 ounces, which I don't trust too much. So, in an attempt to be at least "backyard science," I grabbed an empty pint water bottle and an empty yogurt container and placed the empty container on the scale. I reset the scale using the ON/Z/T button and then poured 16.9 fl oz of water into the reservoir and got a weight of 18.2 oz. Apparently 1 fluid ounce of water weighs more than an ounce, so 16.9 fluid ounces weighs 17.63 ounces, so my scale is off by about half an ounce - a 3% error rate, which is well above the accuracy the scale should have in a position. 3% doesn't seem like much, but your prescriptions don't work reliably and the post office won't accept your packages if they're outside that limit, so it's useless to me. I didn't try to charge the scale or anything. other features, I'll throw this away and buy a branded item hoping it's more accurate
