I bought this a few days ago after my 19 month old managed to escape from his playground in his sleep and toured my bedroom unsupervised. His play area is next to our bed, which allows him to escape, but he's never done that before. We installed it last night before bed and there are a few things I didn't know when I bought it that I wanted to share with you. Because of the network, you cannot see your baby on the baby monitor. Our son cried after we left the room which he doesn't usually do anymore and it bothered me that we couldn't be sure if he was ok because we couldn't see him. - He goes UNDER the mattress. I think it should have been obvious but I figured he was just sitting all over the playground and tied up. This makes it more durable when it goes into play space, but I just didn't know about it. Make sure there is a way to attach it to the corners of the playground. There is room in two of my corners to tie it down and the other two we had to get creative with. - When you open it, it looks MASSIVE. We were surprised at the size and almost hit our son with this thing. He's big and tall (much bigger than I expected). Yes, he keeps it inside. It won't come out, that's why we bought it. He studies it closely and tries to figure out a way, but there isn't one (although I had weird thoughts about the way he was walking that thing around his body because he's really smart). The zipper is only on the outside, so it won't come out as long as it's closed. I just hate that I can't see him on the monitor. We could try changing the top so we can see it on the baby cam above. When he woke up this morning I didn't know he was awake because I couldn't see him AT ALL through the network. I only knew because he started banging on the wall to get my attention. Of course if I change it he could potentially escape, but since he's so big I don't think he can pull him down so far that he collapses on top. Maybe when he grows up.
