Fresh sticks are extremely rare from most top sellers. Go to the store or avoid them altogether.
Received dry and crumbly sticks from Habitat Union that smell mostly like burning sawdust or a dirty chimney. The product looks real, just very old. I bought cheap sandalwood incense from Wal-Mart, which unfortunately smells better than this one. Given the bad reviews from divine products, Tom's and now Habitat Union, I'm not sure you should ever buy this product online. I could up my rating a bit and explain how this is supposed to smell if I ever get a fresh box.
