Yes, some dirt gets on the inner door, and if you don't pull the bag filler properly, it can jam the inner door half open. However, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. I've learned a few tricks. First, the fold-down handle at the top makes it easy to carry the unit to the garage or set it on a workbench, making it easier to empty a full bag. I also attach a small plastic wire tie to the top of the full bag before cutting and tying it. This pretty much eliminates the cat poop smell mentioned in some one star reviews. So if you're looking for the perfect, clutter-free, odor-free toilet cleaning solution, this isn't it. Let me know when you find it.
