Got 10 x 1/2 for my slim 6 lb 6 month old girl. We'll have to leave it on the last hole (although she could go through a hole for a better fit, if it gets stuck she won't get it over her head), so we'll probably have to go 12 inches too long. This is not a traditional detachable collar that detaches on the body. It has a tiny strip of black elastic (wish it was white to match the skin) next to the buckle that stretches if the cat gets stuck. My only complaint is that it doesn't stretch very far and could pose a safety hazard if not properly secured. So it's a little looser than I'd like, but there's no other way to make sure it's really loose. Also, the tag fabric attached to the inside of the collar is huge and needs to be removed with scissors or it will stick out. Pros: Really good quality leather, rhinestones well attached and absolutely beautiful!
