My cat kept losing her safety collar so I needed something that wouldn't come off easily but wouldn't choke her. I followed the advice of another reviewer who said they attach the collar to the last hole so it's loose enough for the cat to pull out if it gets caught on something. With an elastic band (which held its elasticity well) it sure could, so I'm not worried. She wore it for several months and still hasn't taken it off. It still looks new. I highly recommend!

This cat collar is worth its price because the quilted part on the neck is much stronger than other similar cat collars. Also the rhinestones are very pretty and make this cat collar unique compared to others. Cat collars with looser elastic around the neck caused my cat's paw to get stuck in the stretch and although I replaced it with the same collar it happened again and the elastic section did not return to its previous tension. Got 10 x 1/2 for my slim 6 lb 6 month old girl. We'll have to leave it on the last hole (although she could go through a hole for a better fit, if it gets stuck she won't get it over her head), so we'll probably have to go 12 inches too long. This is not a traditional detachable collar that detaches on the body. This is an amazing product. The collar is very durable and very attractive. The elastic on it is heavy and stiff: just enough for the cat to free itself if caught, but not so much that it can use the clip to get out of the collar. This is an absolutely beautiful collar. Nicely done. Very shiny. It fits our little Siamese cat perfectly and matches her eyes :) I would warn anyone with a larger cat. I discovered these cat collars from Angel Pet Supplies about 3 years ago and am very happy with them. I have indoor and outdoor cats.
