UPDATE: Six months later, our little Houdini still hasn't figured out how to take it off! Great security - much more durable than any other collar we've tried! And it still looks like new. We bought a second one in blue for our other cat. <3 However, we have the smaller size and it fits seamlessly, so it looks like the small is too small and the large almost too large - medium size (or just make the small larger and the large smaller). ) it would be great! ORIGINAL REVIEW: We weren't sure about this purchase because there weren't many reviews and because the seller seemed to be selling all sorts of odds (so it didn't seem like a cat collar company, although I've seen it since the creator of Angel Pet Supplies really focuses on "thin leather pet products" - just absolutely well done. And a very classic look! (My husband wanted to recreate his childhood image of a black cat with a red rhinestone collar and I looked it up at a MILLION before I decided on this one!) One star only deducted because we've only had it a few days so can't comment on its durability and so I appreciate the elasticated safety piece - we wouldn't buy a collar without it or a safety device I also appreciate that the rhinestones are secured in the grommets instead of the prongs, which holds up feels smoother and safer. The end of the collar sticks out too far. I usually wrap a small piece of tape around the collar and the end of the collar in this case to keep it wrapped around itself, but in this case the only place it can be done is at the safety elastic lace and I'm careful that I wrap the rubber band with tape may slightly reduce its elasticity for safety reasons. We can't cut it because the leather is nicely sheathed and because we want Inca to have room to grow. We temporarily solved this problem by folding the end in half and tucking it back into the metal loop as you can see in the photo; it works, but not perfectly solid or pretty.
