As I didn't purchase the laptop myself, I didn't want to void the guarantee by installing additional memory. Windows 7 requires wheels in order to be installed, Windows 8.1 is installed without question, but I was unable to locate drivers for my graphics card and wireless network, so I had to upgrade to the latest 10k, which is worse than 8k in every way (it loads more slowly, shuts down less cleanly, and frees up much less memory). As soon as the settings were adjusted, 10ka started behaving more normally; in general, the laptop performs admirably when used for office work and web browsing, and it can even be disassembled to reveal an NVME drive. The low power limit ( 15w) is the reason why the frequency of the CPU (and even memory!) constantly jumps, causing friezes and stutters in games; this is true even if the memory is set to 2-channel, which it is not. I ordered this laptop during a promotion and paid a little over $22 for it. For that price, it's fine, but I wouldn't recommend it at full price; instead, I'd suggest looking into alternatives from other manufacturers because the design of this one's shell is just too bad (although maybe everyone has one now). There are two memory slots in the laptop, and one of them is occupied by a 4GB SKHynix 4Gb DDR4-3200 module that operates at 2400 MHz with horse timings of 17-17-17. As the AMD BIOS hasn't been as thoroughly researched as Intel's, the Ryzen Master won't cooperate, and the Quick CPU won't make any sense, undervolting and RAM overclocking are out of the question.
