This was my first tumbler flip machine and I was nervous at first but glad I made the purchase. Noise: There is no noise from the machine when it is on/off and the cup is spinning, there is also no noise from the fan. Odor/Temperature: The motor does not emit any odor and the machine does not get hot during rotation. The fan in the engine compartment maintains a cool temperature even after 12 hours of rotation. Assembly: Assembly is very easy, I don't even remember if instructions were included, the whole process is pretty much self-explanatory. Price/Shipping: While it wasn't the cheapest option, I'm glad I went for it and the shipping was very quick, as was everything else. I would recommend this to beginners who are just trying to make glasses or who can find another use for them. I will buy again in the future, this time a double lathe from the same manufacturer.
