A beautiful piece for her or a stylish gift

Yes, you can get a waiter's corkscrew for $5. Or 10 dollars. It's outrageously expensive! However, you get the traditional quality from French production. It's precision crafted from the finest, toughest stainless steel and everything works so well. Open a wine bottle with a $10 waiters corkscrew and another with it. You'll be amazed at the difference and stop using a $10 corkscrew. I love it so much I've stopped using my Screwpull lever screw which I paid $150 for a long time ago. Yes, it takes longer, but it's a pleasure to use something that works so well, and it really doesn't take that long to uncork. The cork can be very soft, a good strategy is to use an Ah-So opener to loosen the cork and pry it out about 1/4 inch. Then use this corkscrew to remove it completely. By the way, you'll find that there are cheap Ah-So openers and expensive expensive ones that work much better.

Pros
  • Includes a serrated foil cutter with integrated bottle opener
Cons
  • Something different
