Bottom line this works with Gibralter's 8.7" High Capacity Mailbox and that in itself is useful info as Revain doesn't provide any information, no "Frequently bought with" and even a search does not find this mounting plate. To find it I had to read all the reviews and questions until someone from Gibraltar answered the question and then by the item number I found it. However, the way it works is that it comes with 4 plastic extensions that you slide out of the mounting plate that fit into the slots and then screw in when you install the mailbox, making it 8.7 inches wide. The standoffs themselves fit into the slots on the bracket fairly easily, but are very difficult to screw in as the nuts that come with the screws are tiny and you're working in a very small space under the mailbox that you can't even see. , but you have to feel it. I thought it would be easier to thread the bolt from the inside so you can thread the nuts from the outside where there is more room and you can see, but you can't because the bolts are too long to insert the holes from the bottom (wrong angle), so most of the time these tiny nuts are screwed on by touch - it's a pain, you know what. Final tip - I made the mistake of looking at the existing mounting plate before buying this because when I removed my old mailbox I found that the mounting plate I had was the same model with gaskets still in place were built into the panel, so I didn't really have to buy it. Sorry for the long review but hopefully I can spare you the pain I went through. I don't understand why they don't just sell an 8.7" wide mounting plate, but the people of Gibraltar are very helpful
