This is a set of canvases for acrylic or oil painting. The panels are made from cotton wrapped onto a hard surface and pre-coated with plaster making them ready to use. They are pure white. I love these boards for my art class. Last year I struggled to learn to draw. If I've learned anything, it's that to get better you have to practice, practice, practice. But you need a lot of material for that. I find this kit to be a very inexpensive way to get practice materials. The canvas panels are ready to use, so you don't have to cover them yourself. I find panels to be much easier to work with than media paper which tends to curl. The plates just stay in place. And if you like the finished work, you can simply frame it. All panels have a uniform color, are even, and the gypsum coating is smooth, without bumps and chips. Overall, this is a great choice for art students.
