Review on πŸ”¦ Hella 002395991 7-Inch H4 Type Single Headlamp with High/Low Beam by Marcus Hargrave

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not all Hellas are the same!

I recently ordered a Hella with a clipped light beam pattern on the left, made in Germany. As others have pointed out, this is an 'E' bulb, presumably not SAE certified: no big deal. This is a great 5 star lamp! Then last week I re-ordered the same Hella and received a bulb which Revain marked with the same Hella part number which was not the same bulb: it was made in India, had a parking light bulb and also had low beam controls with right cut off which would only be appropriate , for example when driving on the left-hand side of the road in England. This beam shape will definitely not work in the US. Revain immediately sent me a shipping label for the return and a 1 day credit to ship another lamp. I hope this is the right choice because these are fantastic lamps! UPDATE: A new lamp has arrived. It was from a different supplier but turned out to be the same Indian made product nonetheless, on the left side of the street light with no Hella product number on the box except for the Revain label which has the product number was standing. I suspect some grlemlin is labeling the wrong products: it's happened to me before. Again, Revain took care of the return. Ordered again and luckily found that Revain also sells them and also fulfills the order. this is how i got my first lamp a few months ago! This time I hope to get a real Hella H4 E-coded headlight made in Germany for my bike! We will see.
