ATTENTION, right-hand drive lamp. Read all reviews.

I bought a headlight to replace the Hella H4 E code on my VW camper. I rarely drive at night but I did notice a difference in the light pattern (blinding oncoming traffic) and tonight I read some reviews and thought it was right hand drive as others have said. I think this is fraud on the part of the seller. It is too late to return the item.

Wrong part number for this lamp?

I re-ordered this wonderful 7" Hella Halogen Headlight I bought for my Harley in 2014 and ordered the same part number from my Revain archive order. As another review states, the flashlight I received is of the same product # but it is a different lamp with parking socket and H4 halogen bulb holder, it is made in India and costs around $10 as of March 3, 2017 less than the german one I bought in 2014. not correct site for US Revain issued me a refund, I want a H4 halogen socket like I had, I'm…

Great headlights, not DOT approved.

Excellent light pattern. The boundary on the low beam side is sharp, horizontal with a 60Β° curvature up in the middle to the right, making this headlight suitable for on-road use. However, this headlight does not have a DOT approval stamp and is marked "Off-Road Only". If your vehicle is checked regularly, they don't pass. However, they meet the requirements for street lights. The manufacturer just didn't want to pay for their approval so they aren't as expensive as some. Also, the included…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Sealed inside with tape. NOT street law.

All three that I ordered have a fog foil on the inside. I'll keep returning them until one is clean. This is the third. I'm stuck on the first two because I haven't unpacked them in months. I used one (another cracked bunch) of my old ones that is ten years old but much cleaner than any of the new lenses. If anyone knows of another brand that can handle 130w bulbs please let me know. There is a sticker on the package and on the front of the headlight that clearly contradicts the description and

NOT AS A BENEFIT good for lighting and lighting accessories

Well after owning this lens for a few months I finally understand and am convinced that the clipping scheme is wrong for US roads. It was winter, so I didn't ride my bike much. Other reviews appeared after I bought with the same dates. And as others have said the lenses are good quality but designed for driving on the left side of the road, not the right. The cutoff pattern reflects light up and to the left. For the US, the pattern on the right should light up. Mine also had an extra socket in…

Not all Hellas are the same!

I recently ordered a Hella with a clipped light beam pattern on the left, made in Germany. As others have pointed out, this is an 'E' bulb, presumably not SAE certified: no big deal. This is a great 5 star lamp! Then last week I re-ordered the same Hella and received a bulb which Revain marked with the same Hella part number which was not the same bulb: it was made in India, had a parking light bulb and also had low beam controls with right cut off which would only be appropriate , for example…
