I'm not a microbiologist (or any profession that deals with water quality) so I'll just let my picture speak for itself. Left: THREE (3) months of moderate use in Manhattan (the city with "the cleanest tap water in the world"). Right: New replacement filter. I have no idea what it actually filters out and what it doesn't. All I know is that I didn't drink a bunch of brown shit (puke!), which is fine with me.
