Review on ๐Ÿ’ง Vapur Solid Flexible Water Bottle with Carabiner: Stay Hydrated on the Go! by Gus Gutierrez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fairly good for two handed users

Good product which I have already used on two plane flights back and forth. I bought it to keep my water bills down when traveling. I travel about 20 weeks a year for business and a few more times for pleasure. With bottled water typically costing between $3 and $4 at the airport, this can get expensive quickly. This bottle is said to hold about 0.7 liters (about 23 ounces), so that's a good size, and many airports now have bottle filling stations to facilitate this. It's all BPA-free plastic; From the packaging it had a slight plastic smell which dissipated after a thorough wash at home. The bottle head is fairly easy to open, but you should use both hands when it's full or close to it. Same for closing. The clasp offers a strong lock so you know when it's really tight. The bottom of the lid has a silicone rubber seal; flexible but provides a good seal when closed. The drinking spout is 1/2 inch in diameter, big enough to pour water from a fountain and big enough to cover your mouth and squirt on your clothes if you're not careful. The entire head assembly unscrews for cleaning or adding water or ice cubes; the mouth opening there is 1-1/8 inch. The entire thread assembly on the pouch appears to be solidly welded, as are the welds on the pouch itself. A carabiner-like plastic clip is securely attached to the head, allowing you to attach the bottle to a backpack or carry-on. The clip has a 7/8" opening, just enough to attach to a bag handle or molly bag strap. When screwed on, the head aligns side to side, allowing the bottle to fold. Simply roll up the empty pouch from the bottom up, then flip the clip down to secure the rolled up bottle. Rolled up, this guy is 5 inches wide and 3 inches high and easily fits in the side pocket of my carry-on. When filled with water, the bottle is flexible and can usually be drunk with two hands without spilling. So far I haven't had a leak. After the first wash I filled it up and turned it upside down overnight, nothing leaked. It had some dents when full and didn't leak either. All in all a good buy so far. The only downside: As noted above, it's not as easy to drink from one hand as from a rigid bottle, but the convenience factor doesn't bother me.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
