Review on Amazfit GTS Smart Watch, Grey by Gabriela Suchenek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, more pros than cons.

Features that seemed promising at first glance turned out to be less than ideal in practice. One, the prevalence of always-on display, which significantly limits individual agency on the job. Personally, I don't see the need for it because seeing the time is as simple as turning my wrist. Second, the forecast is wrong. It looks fantastic, allowing you to check the weather without having to pull out your phone, however it just displays the average day/nighttime temperature. Currently it displays erroneously, with a +3 during the day and a +17 in the evening when the sun is out. Contradicts observed values. Although it would be convenient, the ability to play music through the watch is not available. While GPS means you can go for a run without your phone and still get accurate data, no one wants to run in silence, so most people still bring their phones along. There is a timer and stopwatch that can't be disabled. The time, while the timer is on, is still barely legible in the top right corner. The fact that you may customize the timer or use the suggested times makes it a useful tool. 5. Gorilla glass is, but the screen was scratched after only a week. I was initially disappointed because the GTS seemed to be essentially identical in terms of capability to the MiBand 4 (based on evaluations), with the exception of GPS (the reason this item was purchased), but in actuality, GPS was not required. Nonetheless, there are benefits that make the 6 percent premium acceptable in my book. Added features include: better alarm management, a larger screen, and a more thorough display of activity statistics. If money is a major concern, you can probably get by with just MiBand 4. The Huawei Watch GT 2 is an advanced smartwatch that can be yours for an additional sum. After wearing MiBand 2 for almost two years, I am pleased with the purchase; the device appears to be very effective. Nonetheless, you should be able to get more for your money.

Pros
  • 1. It has a nice design and doesn't seem cheap. Second, they are even more comfortable to wear than MiBand 3. The screen is large and of excellent quality, making it a delight to read notifications on. The AMOLED matrix ensures readability even in direct sunlight. The brightness can be set manually or set to automatically change. I can't use the second one because, for some reason, even when it's dark out, the brightness is still too high. I prefer to manually adjust the brightness because it just requires three steps (lowering the curtain, clicking on the brightness, and responding). 5. The wristwatch can be used to manage the phone's music library. Those who have Bluetooth headphones who want to listen to music while strolling around the flat will find this a fantastic convenience. Absolutely, and it's handy even with wired ones; you won't have to dig your phone out of your pocket every time you want to use it. You can turn the alarm on and off, as well as change the time and date, all from the alarm clock itself (number 6). When compared to the MiBand, wireless charging is much more convenient because it doesn't require removing the screen from the strap. 8. The PAI mode is a fascinating function that calculates daily activity points based on a person's heart rate and their overall level of activity throughout the day (the goal is 100 points per week). Encourages physical activity, but only for the inactive. You can easily get to 100 points by engaging in three 30-minute fitness workouts each week at a medium intensity, plus engaging in daily street mobility. Those with tachycardia will continue to rack up points even while at rest, rendering this function useless.
Cons
  • 1. Strap Hand from him itched for the first few hours. It eventually became routine, yet continued perspiration under the strap remains a source of annoyance (even if it is greatly weakened). The silicone strap on the MiBand was more comfy than the Milanese loop, which I normally like. The flashlight is so feeble that it is hardly usable. No method to respond to text and phone calls NFC support is severely inadequate, however this is a problem with all amazfit products. Fifth, you can't check your sleep stats on the watch itself; you'll need the companion app for that. After 14 days, independence is declared. The battery life significantly decreases with each minute of heart rate monitoring. I set the training mode to go off twice, the music control once, the timer numerous times, the notifications constantly, the brightness to roughly 30%, and the screen to switch off after 5 seconds; this lasted me for a full week. In other words, the clock's load was even lower than usual, and the battery lasted for just half as long as was officially stated. No, it's not a smartwatch; it's just an innovative fitness bracelet styled like a watch.
