Q&A - Apple Cinema Screens • 30 " and 20 " / A1083 and A1081 - Seems to work but not great.

Q: Will this work on the 30" Apple Cinema Display A1083? A: Something like that. This will allow the display to work. Fine. Fine if you like a 1990's VGA monitor. Doesn't let anything go above 1280 x 800. The maximum resolution for this monitor is 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz, but supposedly supports (1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz). Therefore, 1280x800 is equivalent to 1-inch Super Mario Bros. style desktop icons and 8-bit graphics MUCH larger, and the resolution is only 1/2 the actual resolution. (See " Cinema Display A1081? A: From any angle, yes. It works, yes. More resolution options, yes. Also, the resolution gives you all the options. Which makes sense given the smaller screen size. 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hertz ( Hz) Overall: I'm very disappointed I wasted my time buying these The small monitor is my palette for Photoshop, Illustrator and CAD 'would be happy if it was 1920x1080 because that's what I usually work with.
