I can't believe how amazing this thing is. Insert a metal plate into your phone case (or use an adhesive plate if you don't use a case, but you'll probably have trouble making it look like it). The phone won't fall down even on bumpy roads. Note that the metal plate may affect wireless charging if it interferes. Depending on the phone and where it is installed. For general purposes, including a polarity conflict between a pair of sunglasses and a phone screen causing the screen to go black when the phone is on its side, I recommend mounting the phone vertically.
