The audio card that was integrated into the motherboard started to malfunction and make clicking noises. I needed a solution to an issue, therefore I bought this. Immediately upon receiving the driver from Daniel K, I installed it. Everything started up without any problems, but in the list of playback devices, the new audio card took the place of the sound output from the motherboard. I'm not sure if this is how the official drivers are supposed to behave. If you decide to install these drivers on your computer, keep in mind that there is a specific process for removing them. In order to remove them, you will first need to run the file that comes with them, and then you will need to delete the file. Although I did not notice a difference in sound quality when compared to the built-in speakers, this does not suggest that a difference does not exist because my speakers are pretty outdated. A positive development.
