I have the same problem every year. Find inexpensive humidifier filters that will last. The best so far for the price. I have a big open house and I use 2 humidifiers all the time during the winter. My house is getting very dry. They last about 17 days for me. For less than 10€ a piece I'm happy with it. Much better than paying $26 at Sears.
