I made a mistake in estimating the density of this foam based on the ship's declared weight. The king size topper weighs 14 pounds not 18 as stated in the description. I hope it will last a year despite the low density. Also, the styrofoam was folded and rolled, and the top of the folded wrapper was at some point exposed to a significant amount of ultraviolet radiation—probably the sun. This has caused the foam in this area to turn a light yellow color and degrade much faster than the rest of the topper. I decided to keep her despite the problems. This is a full king size and not 2-4 inches shorter/narrower like most toppers. It is very comfortable despite the low density of the foam. This topper is not what I would describe as "plush". It doesn't wrap you up after you fall into bed. It's moderately firm, but my back appreciates it. Also hot. ALL foams are hot (with the possible exception of open cell foam). I didn't expect it to be cool and it isn't.
