I purchased two of these beds before we brought our new puppy home. I was surprised at how soft and fluffy it was right our of the box. As soon as I opened the plastic wrap it fluffed up and was ready for use. It did sit for about a week before we brought her home.She prefers the floor while at home as close to the fan or open door as possible, but she does cuddle in the bed here and there. The real place this bed shines for us is in the cars, we have the back seat cover that turns into a cradle protecting her from sliding off the seat. The back seat is still a big space for a puppy. This bed has been a life saver in giving her a snug and secure place to curl up in it also takes up enough space that the seat doesn't feel as open and scary to her. With her tethered into the car she has the option of laying in the bed or behind the bed up against the back of the seat.
