This item is an HDMI adapter with female connectors on both ends. I used it to run an HDMI cable from the back of my TV (which hangs on the wall so the HDMI ports are inaccessible unless you remove the TV from the wall) to a ROKU streaming stick connect to. Because they both have male ends, this coupling is ideal for connecting. It can also be used to connect two HDMI cables into one longer cable. This connector allowed me to connect the ROKU keychain without removing the TV from the wall.
