Poor design for jumper cables, chargers, and portable power supplies
The red shrink wrap is very thin. The insulator is designed to be bolted to the firewall. Welded tabs rest against the firewall. After a long ride in my truck, the vibrations of the road had worn away the shrink wrap and paint from the firewall. The positive cable landed on bare metal, causing a fire.

It's like having two separate power supplies for each battery and only one alternator!
