Review on 🍡 Breville BTM800XL Stainless Steel Tea Maker by Jennifer Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My favorite device!

I LOVE this car! My favorite appliance in the kitchen. It works so well, it's quiet, it's easy to use, it makes fantastic tea and it really is a tea lover's dream. I'm primarily a black tea lover and for that variable temperature control this is less useful as water can be boiled in many other ways, but the consistent temperature throughout the brew and the ease of setup and maintenance to completion are great. . I particularly felt this comfort when preparing tea for guests. In the past, making tea was a multi-step process that required me to walk away from the party to boil water, water the leaves again, and brew the tea again after he timed it. Now I can just set it up and walk away knowing it'll notify me when it's done! [A few words about the guests: I prefer to offer my friends different teas. The only downside to Breville compared to my old method is that you can only brew one type of tea at a time. So I either just use the kettle as a water heater and make tea from a mug or small teapot, or I brew one at a time. So I decided to keep my old kettle so I can make it in Breville if multiple guests want one variety and one or two who want another can make them individually using water from the kettle. This is a rare logistical issue, but it does happen from time to time]. The teapot also praised green tea and oolong tea. Greens in particular have never been "my cup of tea" ;) but after using the Breville Tea Maker I can truly say that brewing it at the right temperature and not over brewing it with boiling water makes a huge difference! The same goes for oolong and white tea. Now it's obviously expensive and was a total birthday money purchase. But it's worth it. I use it multiple times a day and have had it for a little over six months and it's still working great. Solutions, and both are great for getting rid of the residue that develops after prolonged use. However, the Revive material is really very plain and makes it shine like new. Several reviewers have warned that this is a fragile item and as it is made of glass I can only imagine this to be true! I have not dropped it or broken it on anything and I warn anyone who might be tempted to wash it (like my wife or relatives) not to get the bottom of the carafe wet and this has effectively discouraged anyone from touching it except me :) So I try not to mishandle it and everything was fine. I love this teapot and can't imagine going back to the world before it. I miss him on vacation! If you love the ritual of brewing tea, this is definitely not for you. But for those of you who enjoy this ritual sometimes and often just want a good, strong tea? Spring for Breville, it's worth it. Man all these reviews make me want tea, luckily I have a beer in the kitchen while I type! Hooray!
