We finally got this installed and I have to say I'm very impressed with this fan and light combo. It is very light and can easily be damaged if you are not careful. Luckily we didn't damage the device during installation. The instructions weren't the best, but if you already have a fan installed you'll be fine. I was a little confused when I found the yellow wire in the block as the ground is usually green. When installing, remember that the ground wire is yellow. I finally found it in the manual. The device offers three different light colors and the ability to adjust the brightness for each. The fan also has three speed levels and a timer. Personally, I'd like to see Alexa built-in, or at least a smart app option. Installation was a little tight as the mount tends to wrap around the roof. I bent the tabs down a bit and was able to easily slide the whole assembly into place after I plugged it in. The only way to control the fan/light is with a remote control, which by the way comes without batteries. Overall I think this is a decent fan/light for the money and I'm happy with the end result. I docked this star according to the instructions just based on that. Try it! PS - Although it moves air fairly well, you should consider the size of the room you are installing it in. In my opinion, it's good for small to medium-sized rooms. Anything too big and you may not get the results you want.
