In my opinion, HDMI over IP is the best video distribution solution I've seen in a long time, and it makes it easy. It's hard to tell if the video quality has degraded at all. I didn't test it for latency as it's used in places where it's imperceptible. We use them in our church for distribution to children's rooms, lobbies and outbuildings. I love that if I want to add another source like TV shows, DVD player etc in the future, all I have to do is add more channels. We removed all of our Category 5 to HDMI point-to-point converters, connected their lines to a gigabit switch and placed receivers at the endpoints. Even our TVs on carts have them because they can connect to any Ethernet port in the building and tune into one of the sources. I liked this option over some others because I had the ability to switch sources using the buttons on the receivers or the remote control. Much easier than changing it on the network configuration page
