I have purchased a total of 8 of these units. 7 as Christmas gifts. Let me explain: the sound is clear, crisp, smooth, precise and excellent bass. I'm just blown away by this small self-powered subwoofer sound system. The subwoofer is the bass port. The two front speakers are clean and have excellent directivity. Very balanced and pleasant sound. My basic stereo costs $20,000. This little guy is my go-to for fast Bluetooth connections to Pandora and great viola sound in seconds. The office is attractive but not ostentatious. I also use it outside by the pool. Big volume. No, you're not going to shake the dishes while playing Van Halen at full volume. It's not that speaker. This unit plays beautiful, balanced music without the need for bass/mid/treble/subwoofer adjustments. It's just easy and fun. I highly recommend it.
