This large hardcover book by Martha Pullen, a superb television educator, reveals many of her ideas and methods of creating women's clothing and other items from fine lace and exquisite fabrics. Reading is interesting, inspiring and educational. Almost every page has very precise, crisp illustrations that draw lines with text, and in the center of the book are pages of beautifully colored plates showing whimsical creations made using the French sewing technique. A great addition to a sewing library or even a coffee table.
