It was a fun project. Our 11 year old son forgot about the rest of the world for about 4 hours as he immersed himself in this riddle. It challenged him a few times. I think it was mainly because he was encountering such a puzzle for the first time. He does well in school for his age but I think most kids over 10 should be able to handle it. He was very proud and happy with the end result.
