Exactly what I was looking for! I live in a one bedroom apartment so I eat most of my food on the bed. I usually put my plate or bowl on my pillow, but I wanted something sturdier and more durable. That was excellent! The surface is not slippery. The pillow has good rigidity, which makes it stable. The little lip on it is removable and so far I've felt fine without it. There was a strong smell of glue when I first opened it, but it went away in a day. It's less than I expected, but that doesn't bother me. The size is great for me as a small dining table.
