Head and shank cut well. It went into the metal head of my hammer drill with no problems. It came with splines to expand the shank for a secure fit. The replacement was so easy that my 16 year old son who is not mechanically inclined was able to change grips without instruction Pros Good fit comes with metal and wood wedges Sturdy grip Rough surface for good grip It fully meets my needs Cons If you want a silky smooth grip this isn't for you unless you're willing to rub it down with fine sandpaper.The shank is more oriented towards round holes than ovals.The wedges still offer a snug fit.
