Received quickly, part replaced in 15 minutes. The part in the picture didn't look like the one I had but the part number matched so I decided to buy it. The part I received was identical to the one I had in my fireplace with a switch that toggled between remote, off or manual. Don't be afraid of the pictures. If you need the BFRC-KIT part, this should work for you. The hardest part was getting the logs, extracting the old remote module and installing the new one. The magazines feel like you're going to break something trying to get them. out, but move on. I used the metal shield you removed in the first step to push it between the base of the logs and the block to pry it off. To extract the old module, you had to move sideways and rotate, and to put the new one back, you had to do the opposite. It doesn't just slide straight up/down into place. So play around with it a bit and you should be able to get it. Another thing to mention, I think it was the antenna connector on the circuit board that interferes a bit with where the module connects to the fireplace unit itself when trying to insert the module. I noticed on my old one that this connector was bent "out of the way" by the base unit connector so I did the same with this one and then got the clearance needed to start installing the new module. Overall replacing the part was easy, the price was better than buying a new fireplace and my wife is happy again!
