, I bought this item for a 3 week trip to Hawaii where my wife and I planned to do a lot of snorkeling. about the space of a beach towel ). one suitcase and weighs very little (very important due to airlines luggage regulations) It fits two sets of snorkeling gear (fins, masks, snorkels, inflatable vests) as well as beach essentials (two large beach towels, water bottles, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray) and it has kept great. Backpack straps were essential for us. Some of the beaches we visited required a strenuous walk or hike to reach them. I don't know how we would get our gear to these beaches without this bag, I highly recommend it.
